Reality Shifting is a way to send your consciousness to an alternate reality. You can go to any reality, from a book, a movie or even an anime, a past memory of your life, 100 years ago, in 2D or 3D… another country… it can even be a dream or a world or even a universe you created entirely on your own. Shifting allows you to visit places, do stuff, eat food, meet people and all of this in the way you want it to be. Shifting is a unique experience and you cannot compare it to anything else, this is why it is beloved by many.
Reality Shifting started spreading around the internet in the late 2010s, more often know as “quantum jumping” at the time. When the quarantine started, it became a trend on the social media Tiktok where it was given the name “reality shifting”. Since, a lot of young and older people have been experiencing it and living the life of their dreams ~ and this is why shifting is so great. Thanks to them, a lot of people have been finding a true meaning in their existence.
It is really different from most of the things you could experience, it’s not like a lucid dream and it isn’t astral projecting neither. You will gain consciousness in your desired reality (one where you’re rich, one where the world is beautiful, one where you have friends, a cyberpunkish town, a cottagecore world…) and you will be able to mold everything in that reality. There won’t be any anomalies or dream-like events, it will be only the way you want it to be.
One can easily make the assumption that reality shifting is just imagination or daydreaming but they are very different from another. You feel like you’re teleported in another universe, as if you’ve been living another life in another world that you didn’t know about until now. It feels like everything and everyone was just there, waiting for you – a place you can finally call home.
A fun thing with shifting is that you can even be a entirely different person: gender, age, size… it’s all up to you! When shifting into another reality, you feel like you’re there. You can touch and feel stuff.. you can go for a hike in the most heavenly places, have lunch with your friends, or even have a coffee with them and just enjoy your time there. What’s amazing about shifting is that since I’ve been doing it I haven’t felt alone or sad. I have a place of my dreams, something I cherish more than anything else. But enough about me, let’s get back to writing and answering your questions! ^u^
Shifting is perfect because it can be done anytime, under any weather, day or night… 2D realities are also so amazing to visit and spend time in, it’s really a great experience and I’ve seen things I couldn’t even describe. Usually, for shifting, I start by writing a script on the Notion app, which has been my way to do shifting for a long time. But anything that suits you should be fine 🙂
What does Reality Shifting for the first time feels like ?
When you are in your desired reality (DR), it may take you a little while to realize that you have shifted into it. This is not because you feel dizzy or confused, but because it feels normal to you. You may not even question whether it is real or not. Think about how often you question your own reality in your everyday life. Now that you know about shifting, you may question it a bit more. But when you shift for the first time, you may not feel surprised or amazed because it feels like it’s always been your reality and you don’t need to question it. You just go about your day like usual. It may take some time before you realize that you are actually asleep in your physical reality, also referred to as “current reality” (CR). At first, you may not even believe that it’s not your current universe. But as you process and accept it, you will become aware of both your separate realities and that you can go back to your CR whenever you want.
How do I know if Reality Shifting is real ?
You should try It ! Even Wikihow has an article on how to do shifting, just saying. There are also many videos on the internet, YouTube or TikTok. I personally come from a community on Amino, you should check them out! Here are a few (only one now… the other one got taken down :(..) videos for shifting beginners that I recommend you check out:
Now you’re probably wondering, “okay, this is great and all, but how do I actually shift?” – which is what we’re gonna see together today because I want to help you all get to your dream realities.
How do I shift to another reality?
I’ve been looking for the best shifting methods for quite a while, so I compiled the best ones I have tried out myself so that you know exactly where to start!
Before shifting, take a few minutes to meditate. Just clear your mind and let go of any thoughts that come up. If you can, focus on your heartbeat or your breathing. Once you’ve finished meditating, lay down and relax all your muscles. Imagine the feeling of love in your heart and imagine your heart center, or chakra, expanding outwards. Imagine this energy flowing out of your heart and into the universe.
While you’re doing this, focus on the emotions associated with what you want to experience or manifest, like your desired reality. Keep this feeling in your heart and don’t move. Once you’ve held this energy for a bit, release it to the universe. Doing this after meditating will greatly increase the chances of you shifting into a desired reality or manifesting your desires. You can also use this technique for anything you want to experience or materialize. And remember, you can do this in your physical reality or in a lucid dream before shifting. Give it a try and see what happens!
As I mentioned, this is one of the methods I like to use but naturally it varies from one person to another… so it can be very hard for yourself to find how to shift but as long as you practice regularly you’ll reach your goals, so don’t give up! ^u^
What reality should I shift in ?
There’s no guide or limit for your desired reality. It’s all in the name really. It’s a universe that you wish for, that you desire. You should focus on what your desired reality looks like, what you do there, who you meet, your friend group, what kind of activites you get up to, ect… This is why scripting is essential, as it helps with figuring out what your DR is like and makes it easier for you to shift into it, as you’ll have a better idea of how to picture it.
Is it normal if I can’t shift ?
Shifting is possible for everyone, but if you’re too focused on trying to shift, it may be harder for you to do so. Instead, try to relax and not put so much pressure on yourself. Remember, you’ve lived your whole life without shifting and you can continue to do so. Let go of the idea that you absolutely need to shift and have a more casual attitude towards it. Stop trying so hard every night, and it will happen naturally.
Are there any tips to shift?
Of course, here are a few things I do myself:
- Journallng
- Set intentions
- Be prepared for disappointment, because you will never get it right the first time
- Relax, it might sound like I’ve said it before but it helps trust me x’)
- Be prepared, know what method you’re gonna do, have a shifting routine
- Avoid talking about shifting to people who don’t believe in it, it might discourage you and perpetuate negative energy
- Practice breathing methods, try to reach a state in which you feel in control
But of course since the shifting community keeps getting bigger you can find a lot of tips on Reddit, YouTube or TikTok. I’d always recommend spending more time shifting than talking or thinking about it. It’s often how people become frustrated after being unable to shift to their DR.
What is this site, what is ashiftinreality.com ?
I made this website to help people shift and reach their goals related to shifting because it’s not easy when you don’t have the resources. I even made a zone dedicated to parents and guardians if they are concerned about shifting and would like to know more. This website is designed for people who haven’t shifted and are still learning how to shift. If there are methods, tips, or anything related to shifting that you know of and that you’d like to see here, please e-mail me!
